I come from a line of great home cooks. My French grandmother prepared amazing meals when I was a child, all from scratch and from her heart. She taught my mother to cook that way, and my mom taught me. My passion for cooking was born. It wasn't until I was in my 40's, however, that I decided to turn that passion into a business.
In 2006 I founded Cooking by the Bay, a personal chef service. As the years passed, I became more and more interested in the relationship between food and health. In an interest to better serve my clients, I enrolled in the Holistic and Therapeutic Culinary Arts Program at Bauman College. In 2010 I graduated as a Certified Natural Chef with a strong desire to share the foundations of healthy cooking with others.
In the years since graduating I have continued my work as a personal chef, working primarily with clients who have special dietary needs due to allergies, intolerances or health conditions. I am also a recipe developer, blogger, and cookbook editor & contributor (for two NYT bestselling authors). And for the past seven years I have been teaching hands-on cooking classes in my home.
My mission is to show people that delicious and nutritious are not mutually exclusive.
